The reasons for a tooth extraction are quite different from adults and children. While adults typically need tooth extractions in the case of severely damaged teeth, children need tooth extractions to make room for their adult teeth.
Common reasons for a pediatric dental extraction include:

While it is typically recommended to let baby teeth fall out on their own, there are instances where our dentists must intervene.
